Title: [abstract] MARKETING HBO SERVICES
Author: Perko, DJ
Abstract: The marketing effort for medical services has grown in intensity and sophistication during the last 10 years. HBO services are no exception. HBO services that are able to define the types of patients that they want to treat and can structure a process to attract them, will see their volume increase. The process of defining and then attracting patients for treatment is marketing. The marketing process is made up of four components: researching and understanding the needs of your audience, designing a service with value or that audience, communicating the offer effectively and monitoring your results. In researching your market, you need to define the market's boundaries and segments. The information derived from your research should yield important insights about the needs of your market. Communication of the product/service is structured to satisfy the needs and present value to the market. Lastly, monitoring the actions that have been initiated will allow you to fine tune or modify your approach.
